Marcus on Apple Pro

Marcus hits the Apple PRO website today showing off the new XX2 website. Marcus uses Apple to push the envelope on the Nike Jordan campaigns that are hosting superb critic around the globe.Explains Ericsson, “People come to these events in their best pair of Jordan's, which they don’t normally wear outside, so it’s a chance to show off their best kicks. The idea of the campaign is to show how they hook their shoes with fashion.” Each visitor got a glossy print of his or her own All-Star threads.

Joseph Kosinski set the new standard

The new Gears of War and Halo3 trailer is noteworthy for several reasons. One, it’s directed by one of the all time favorite CG-centric filmmakers, Joseph Kosinski, formerly of KDLAB.

Two, although some of the visuals are probably what you’d expect for a shoot ‘em up action game, the soundtrack isn’t. Gary Jules’ hauntingly beautiful “Mad World” (which you may recognize from the Donnie Darko soundtrack) is a daring choice. Some may not like it, but I think it’s super.

Three, according to the short blurb on Kosinski’s site, the spot was “created entirely within the Unreal 3 Game Engine.” I remember reading about the Unreal 3 engine over two years ago when it was still in development and being astounded by it then. I had no idea it was capable of this kind of graphical beauty, though. It’s a testament to the power of the Xbox 360.

W2c Norwegian rally 2007

This weekend a whole nation is watching the Norwegian brothers Petter and Henning Solberg driving in snowy weather during rally Norway 2007. I usually post this is the racing section (not updated in a while) but this is a post I want to share with as many as possible. Petter already world champion in 2003 is in family battle to beat Henning. Both down to earth Norwegians give the sport a greater face. Petter started his rally-driving career on the fields of his parents' farm near Oslo when he was eight years old. His parents were both keen rallycross drivers, and, together with his older brother Henning, Petter inherited their enthusiasm for cars. As an 11-year-old Petter helped his parents build and maintain their autocross cars. Too young to compete himself, he raced radio-controlled cars and became Norwegian Champion at the age of 13. Its show and fun all the way and even the weather in RN 2007 is doing it best to make it a great challenge. You can follow the race live on the web here and read updates here.

Silent City online

I was amazed by the trailer and the concept when I first saw this in 2006. Now the whole movie is online for your pleasure. Ruairi Robinson have a bright future in Hollywood after doing almost every part from direction to 3d and post editing. He already have several movie offers on hand but is using some time to think about it. Still the down to earth Ruairi with his great sense of personal humor is worried about how he will survive until he get a block buster. Well online he already have one. He show a super talent in marketing and presentation. I will not use more fancy words as this is a hot spot in Ruaris mind.

The three category winners and runners-up were selected from among hundreds of entries by an international panel of 16 judges from all parts of the animation, vfx and motion design industry. Back from the hospital

Finally I'm almost back to life after a over 2 week stay in a hospital. A virus got inside and caused trouble for my immune system that already is down by 40%. It was critical for a while but I feel that I'm almost back to normal. A bit weak but I guess that's a Small price to pay.
