x-men III

As probably all of you know IM (Rune) is a super big X-men fan. 26 April is opening day for the number 3 in the series. IL be first in line for sure. No move since star wars have taken my imagination as far as X-men. I love the way the human race have by "errors" in the DNA have mutated. Its also the classic theme about "race" problems.

Apple MacBook pro

Finally the long awaited apple MacBook PRO notebook with intel innside is here.
SNDK had a glanse at it when we was in Amsterdam a while back. We "tested" it at the Apple store. We loved the design and all about it exept one ting. The screen resolution is so bad its a shame. We have been used to run 1600x1200 on a good pc notebook for 5 years now but only apple G4Book supports over 1440 by 900 (native) on a notebook.

Apple say:
"Powered by a dual-core Intel engine. Up to four times the speed of the PowerBook G4. Eight times the graphics bandwidth. With built-in iSight for instant video conferencing on the move. And Front Row with Apple Remote to dazzle everyone in the room. Wait no more. MacBook Pro starts at just $1999.

New engine, same soul

This is the first Mac notebook built upon the revolutionary new Intel Core Duo — which is actually two processors (up to 2.16GHz) engineered onto a single chip. It provides 2MB of Smart Cache, L2 cache that can be shared between both cores as needed. It delivers higher performance in 2D and 3D graphics, video editing, and music encoding. And the new engine is only part of the story. MacBook Pro has a frontside bus and memory that, at 667MHz, runs faster than any previous Mac notebook. It’s the first Mac notebook with PCI Express, a Serial ATA hard drive and the ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 for superfast graphics performance."

Female favourite in Asia

Sony Erickson W32S
Asia is always a trendseter when it comes to the future of tech. The female cell phone user in Asia have now said what they like and got it. Sony Erickson in Asia have published W32S. A phone full of features and a wide range of covers. As Marlyn Monroe once said: "Pink is here to stay".

PS: On a side not, the SNDK.no website have its pink details due to my kids (Mathide 5, and Hemine 4) who always asked: "why don't you use pink in your designs". So I did :-)

HDV upgrade

As already known we have focused on using state of the art video technique to create powerfully solutions for our clients. We are now stepping up our focus on motion creation and animation/post production. The last steps taken is to upgrade to a HVD video camera boosting image quality by 3 times. Also all other hardware are upgraded to handle this new equipment. Bigger "picture" require bigger workstations, bigger disk space and special video cards.

We will continue to focus on the post part of production. Animation and effects are what we will be focusing on. Effects are applied on website interfaces, green screen video are added to web sites, music videos and TV-commercials. Our relation to Arctic-Intermedia and Casting Norway enable us to take on full scale productions that include every face from idea to the complete product.

With long experience in this field we have developed knowledge in video for web. When we say this we are talking about compression. Still internet lines are growing none of us want to wait longer than necessary. We will include some behind the scenes look at this later here in the blogger.
