Cancer news

Hi everyoneLong time since last update. Most of all because noting happened and life was back to normal. Last week I got a phone call from the hospital. I don’t think the woman who made the call had made some "prep" work before she called. The conversation was as I remember a bit strange. Bu the point was that the hospital after I ended treatment too something called a “biopsy”. That means they put a needle inn to my stomach and took out a “sample” from my lymph knobs. This has so been in the lab at the hospital having the same environment as I have inside me. That test showed the treatment was not working.

But she pointed out that was not for sure before a new test was made. On Sunday a doctor called me. He explained it a bit better. But the whole point was that if their suspicion was confirmed there was no other treatment out there at this point. On Monday they called me again and said I had to jump on the first plane possible and come down to the hospital for tests. On Monday evening they inserted some sort of contrast fluid into my blood. They also inserted radioactive fluid. After 4 hours they took a blood test to see how much was still left in my body. The next day they put a tube down my throat and took samples from inside my stomach. I took I guess 20 blood samples and 3 urine tests that day. On Wednesday they took a new test (down my throat). On Thursday at 15:10 Norwegian time

I sat down with the doctor. Their and my worst fear was confirmed, the treatment was not working. They have put me on a medicine that will keep it from expanding. But this medicine can only hold it back for so long. They have given me 7 years + left. “+” if I stay physical fit and eat right. What I have to hope for is that science catches up and solve the problem. 7 years is a long time when it comes to research. My emotional state is from time to time a rollercoaster. But im taking it a whole lot better than I ever would imagine. I just need to try and live Life as normal as possible. And focus on work, life and family. The medicine has no side effects. I just have to stay positive;
